dear all friends
this patient with sever left loin pain on u/s exam there is dilatation of the PCS with its ureter , we can follow the dilated ureter to the level of iliac vesseles where we can see the lodged ureteric stone 12 mm in size
When calculi become lodged in the ureter they are most likely to do so at the levels
of normal anatomic narrowings: the ureteropelvic junction; the junction of the middle
and distal thirds (where the ureter crosses the iliac vessels), and the most distal
portion of the ureter, where it becomes intramural in the bladder called the
ureterovesical junction
